The results are in from Monday’s “Safe on Seven” traffic safety campaign.
myFM spoke with Constable David Yome, L&A OPP Media Relations Officer, who told us it was all hands on deck for this initiative.
In total, they laid 113 charges. He shared with us one of their biggest catches from the day.
The remaining charges include:
- Cell phone violations- 2
- Seat belt violations- 2
- Expired permits violations – 10
- Fail To Have Insurance Card violations- 2
- Improper class of licence – 2 – out of service
- Drive Motor Vehicle-No Licence- 1
- Drive While Suspended- 1
- Drive Motor Vehicle-No Insurance- 1
- Hours of work violations – 6 (2 out of service)
- Over weight permit violations – 2
- No Daily Inspection violations – 3
- Fail to have CVOR- 1
- Load Security – 2 (both out of service)
- Commercial Vehicles equipment violations out of service – 6 (brakes, tires, cracked rims, body)
- Total charges for the one day event – 113
- CVSA Inspections completed – 20
