A new helpline will support military families at CFB Trenton. Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced that consultations for the new intiative will start this week, during a visit to the National Air Force Museum of Canada. Input will be collected over the next three months – including in-person meetings with military communities across Ontario and online at https://www.ontario.ca/page/military-families-services-and-support#section-0. Ford says results will be reported back to the public in early 2019.
The Premier adds that the service will help military families across the province, including in the Quinte region.
8 Wing Personnel, council members, museum staff, the Trenton Military Family Resource Centre and media were in attendance Wednesday morning. Ford was joined by Bay of Quinte MPP Todd Smith, who was named as the Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade and Government House Leader on Monday.
