Registered Nurses at the H.J McFarland Memorial Home in Picton now have a new contract. According to a news release from the municipality, County Council renewed the collective agreement at its meeting this week. The two-year contract is retroactive to April 1, 2018, and expires in March of next year. It includes wage increases of 1.4% in the first year and 1.75% in April of this year. There are also vision care and other improvements, and language changes to support efforts to hire new nursing graduates.
