A Napanee parkour coach is helping children and adults build confidence, learn movement skills and overcome obstacles through an inclusive approach to sport.
Cora Wright, known as Coach Cora, has more than 30 years of coaching experience and runs Pegasus Movement Academy, a mobile parkour school.
Wright said she became interested in parkour because it offered a different approach from gymnastics.
The academy offers outdoor programming, camps, birthday parties and family classes. Wright adapts activities to individual participants and allows children to decide when they are ready to try new skills.
She also works to make programs affordable, offering sibling and parent discounts as well as partial and full scholarships.
The academy also offers adult programming and is developing a three-part class focused on falling safely and getting back up.
Wright said parkour is about more than jumping over obstacles.
More information is available through Pegasus Movement Academy on Facebook and its website.
