Tyendinaga Police have charged two Markham men following a 10-month extortion investigation.
Police say the investigation began in November 2025 and concluded Sept. 10, when officers, assisted by the Ontario Provincial Police, executed a search warrant at a Markham residence.
Shawn Gendron, 42, and Denash Raveendran, 32, are each charged with extortion, uttering threats and harassing communications.
Both men were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in Belleville’s Ontario Court of Justice on Dec. 3.
Police are also seeking 32-year-old Dilankumar Raveendran of Markham, who faces the same three charges and is wanted by police.
