A 27-year-old Napanee driver is facing impaired driving and other charges after a vehicle struck a hydro pole and rolled onto its roof early Friday.
Lennox and Addington County OPP were called to Centre Street shortly after 2 a.m. on Sept. 11 after receiving a report that a vehicle had severed a hydro pole before rolling over.
Police attended the scene and arrested the driver following an investigation.
Braden Caton has been charged with operation while impaired by drugs, failure to comply with a demand, two counts of operation while prohibited and careless driving.
Caton was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on Oct. 20.
His driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for 45 days, police said.
