The Napanee Raiders are preparing for another exciting season of hockey, with the regular season getting underway Friday, September 11th at home against the Lakefield Chiefs.
Earlier this summer at their annual Alumni Golf Tournament, the team announce Kingston’s Trent Williams will wear the ‘C’ for the 2026-27 season.
Coach Ben Hagerman shared with myFM it was a pretty easy decision.
Williams, now in his fourth season with the team, shared with myFM what the moment felt like.
The 2025-26 season was describes as a year of growth, with a number of new players joining the organization. Looking to this year, Hagerman says about 15 guys are returning from last season, including some key players in net and on defence.
Williams shared what he’s most looking forward to in his season as Captain.
Game one of the regular season is coming up on Friday, September 11th. Hagerman is excited to have fans back in the stands.
Again this season, 88.7 myFM will be broadcasting all home and away games live, with Trevor Struthers providing the play-by-play, thanks to title sponsor Harvest Brinery.
