A 25-year-old Loyalist Township resident is facing impaired driving charges after L&A County OPP responded to a report of a possible impaired driver in Amherstview.
Police received an anonymous report shortly before 7 p.m. Saturday that a vehicle had left a residence in the community.
Officers stopped the vehicle in the parking lot of a local business and arrested the driver following an investigation.
The accused faces charges of operation while impaired by alcohol, operation while impaired with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol, having a blood alcohol concentration above zero as a novice driver and driving a G1 vehicle without a qualified accompanying driver.
They were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in Court in Greater Napanee on Oct. 6.
Their licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded.
