The 1st Napanee Valley Venturer Scouts have returned home after a nine-day expedition through Quebec and southeastern New Brunswick, thanks in part to strong community support.
Seven youth and three Scouters travelled more than 1,800 kilometres from July 24 to Aug. 1, taking part in activities focused on adventure, teamwork and leadership.
The group visited locations including Quebec City, Montmorency Falls, Aquarium du Québec, Fundy National Park and the Bay of Fundy. Other highlights included sea kayaking, whale watching, river tubing and a final visit to La Ronde amusement park in Montreal.
The expedition was made possible through support from local businesses and organizations that helped cover transportation, food, equipment and program costs.
The Venturers also recognized the efforts of their volunteer leaders, who helped organize the trip, manage logistics and support the youth throughout the journey.

The group says the experience showcased the value of Scouting and the strength of the Greater Napanee community.
