Rock the Pavilion is returning to Amherst Island for a second year, bringing an evening of live music and community celebration to The Pavilion on the August long weekend.
Ag Society President Garry Filson said the festival was created after another longtime local music event came to an end.
Filson said the first event exceeded expectations and encouraged organizers to make it an annual tradition.
Gates open August 1st at 4 pm, with performances beginning at 5 pm. Filson let us know who’s performing.
The concert is held at The Pavilion, which was built on the Amherst Island fairgrounds after the site had sat unused for decades. Filson said the building was created to give residents a place to gather.
The Soup Chef food truck will be on site, and attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.
Tickets are $25, while children under 12 are admitted free. The alcohol-free event runs until 11 p.m., and tickets are available online.
