Families across Loyalist Township will be able to take part in free, hands-on learning this summer as Exploration Days return to local historic sites in July and August.
The weekly program runs Thursdays at Babcock Mill in Odessa and Fridays at the Bath Museum & Visitors Centre in Bath, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Activities are open to all ages and do not require registration.
Organizers say the program is designed to connect people with history, science, creativity and community through interactive experiences. Sessions include woodworking, basket making, printmaking, pottery, textile arts, spy science experiments and nature-based activities.
Special themes also include pollinators, early electricity, Indigenous storytelling and a final STEAM-focused celebration at Babcock Mill.
Bath Museum programming will also feature a time capsule project tied to its anniversary.
Exploration Days are part of Loyalist Township’s summer events lineup, with historic sites open for tours throughout the season.
