Drivers and residents along County Road 9 should prepare for construction delays as a road rehabilitation project gets underway this month.
The County of Lennox and Addington, in partnership with the Town of Greater Napanee, will complete improvements on County Road 9 from Fitchett Road west to civic address 4599. (See map below)
The project includes drainage upgrades, ditching, culvert replacements, road surface repairs, edge repairs and tar-and-chip resurfacing. Greenwood Paving Limited has been hired to complete the surface treatment work.
Construction is scheduled to begin during the week of June 8 and is expected to continue until the end of July, weather permitting.
Temporary lane closures will be required throughout the project, and motorists should expect delays while crews are working.
Residents whose driveway access may be affected will receive advance notice from the County.
Officials say the work is aimed at improving road conditions and drainage along the route while extending the life of the roadway.
