A few local, well traveled roads are on a list of the worst roads to drive on in Ontario.
The Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) released their annual list on Thursday.
Leveque Rd in South Frontenac finished as the worst road in Eastern Ontario. County Road 49 in Prince Edward County, which held the top spot last year, is the runner-up this year. Glen Road in Belleville placed third for the region, while in Kingston, Queen St was number four while Princess St placed fifth.
None of the roads in Eastern Ontario made the Top-Ten in the province.
This year’s Ontario’s worst road honours belong to Barton St E in Hamilton followed by Hurontario St in Mississauga and Notre Dame Ave in Sudbury.
CAA says their annual Worst Roads campaign has influenced change since its inception in 2003. Many municipal and provincial roads have been repaired or repaving and repair work as a result.
