Prince Edward County OPP will team up with Canadian Tire Jumpstart and local partners for a bike safety event in Picton this June.
The Bike Rodeo will run June 13, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Canadian Tire location in Picton. The event will focus on cycling safety, active living and community engagement.
OPP officers will guide children through interactive cycling stations designed to build confidence and improve skills such as braking, turning and safe riding control in a supervised setting.
The event will also include helmet fitting, cycling safety education and bicycle engraving to help prevent theft.
It is open to the public and donations will support the Jumpstart program, which helps children from financially disadvantaged families take part in sports and recreation.
Police are also reminding residents to share the road, follow traffic laws and stay alert as cycling activity increases in warmer months.
