The Government of Ontario is investing up to $200,000 in Lennox and Addington to support victims and prevent crime.
The funding, provided through the Civil Remedies Grant Program, will go to Lennox and Addington Interval House. It will support Safe Trails, a pilot program for youth aged 10 to 21 who have been impacted by intimate partner violence.
The program uses trauma-informed, nature-based activities to help young people heal and build resilience. It includes outdoor retreats, weekly meetups, family days, and workshops focused on healthy relationships.
The investment is part of a broader $5 million plan across Ontario for 2026 to 2028. Funding will support 27 law enforcement agencies, community groups, and Indigenous organizations.
The province says the program uses money seized from criminals to give back to communities, support victims, and help break cycles of violence while improving public safety.
