A Napanee drag performer is stepping into the spotlight after filming a new episode of Drag Brunch Saved My Life while also launching a new local event.
Oktavia Kalor shared with myFM the experience of filming in town was unforgettable.

The episode will highlight local drag performers and their personal stories, along with the support they receive from the community.
The show also brought a major name to town. Priyanka, winner of Canada’s Drag Race Season 1.
Oktavia said the visit was especially meaningful, noting Priyanka was one of her early inspirations after moving to Canada in 2017.
Inspired by the experience, Oktavia is now organizing new events locally.
She has announced “Tropicalia,” an all-ages drag brunch set for May 24 at the Waterfront River Pub and Terrace.
The event will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and feature performances, music, and a themed brunch.
The event will include guest performers, a DJ, and a raffle fundraiser in support of Greater Napanee Pride. It is also expected to be the first weekend daytime drag brunch in Napanee.
Oktavia says more themed brunches are already in the works.
Tickets for the event are on sale now.
