The Town of Greater Napanee is inviting residents to take part in a public open house on a proposed energy storage project later this month.
The session will focus on the Hydrostor Quinte Energy Storage Centre – West project, a planned facility designed to support Ontario’s electricity system with long-duration energy storage.
The open house is set for April 21 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the South Fredericksburgh Community Hall. The event will follow an open format, allowing residents to attend at any time.
Town officials say the goal is to share results from technical studies and gather feedback before council decides whether to issue a Municipal Support Resolution, a requirement in the provincial procurement process.
Representatives from Hydrostor will be on hand to present findings and answer questions, alongside municipal staff explaining the review process.
Community surveys will be available at the event and accepted until April 28, with results helping inform a final recommendation to council.
