A family dispute in Prince Edward County has resulted in several criminal charges, according to the Ontario Provincial Police.
Police say officers were called to a residence on April 2, 2026, at about 9 p.m. following reports of a dispute. After investigating, one person was charged.
The accused faces two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, assault, and failure to comply with probation. Police did not release the name of the accused in order to protect the identity of the victim.
Support services are available for those affected by intimate partner violence and family violence. Local organizations, including Three Oaks Foundation and Victim Services of Hastings Prince Edward Lennox and Addington Counties, offer 24-hour help. Anyone in immediate danger is advised to call 9-1-1.
