Big Cookie and Amanda Chalk stopped by the myFM studio to chat with Emily Chatwood
The Lennox and Addington County General Hospital Foundation has a busy spring ahead with several events aimed at supporting local healthcare.
Amanda Chalk says the foundation’s April 50/50 raffle is already underway, with proceeds going toward upgrades in the hospital’s operating room. She notes the March draw was a big success and hopes momentum continues.
Tickets for the monthly 50/50 are currently available online.
The foundation is also partnering with Tim Hortons for its annual Smile Cookie campaign, running April 27 to May 3. Volunteers are needed to help decorate cookies at local locations.
Chalk says the success behind this fundraiser is really thanks to the volunteers.
Another major addition this year is the Napanee Heritage Race, now organized by the foundation after eight years as a community event. It will take place June 13 and includes a one-mile kids run and a five-kilometre walk or run.
More fundraisers are planned throughout 2026, so stay tuned as more information is released on how you can support health care close to home.
