The Ontario SPCA and Humane Society has launched its Spring Draws for Paws 50/50 Lottery, offering Ontarians the chance to win a major cash prize while helping animals across the province.
The grand prize draw is scheduled for May 7, with one winner taking home half of the jackpot. In last fall’s lottery, the winning ticket earned more than $144,000 — the largest jackpot so far.
Tickets start at $10 and are available online. Organizers say several bundle options are also available, giving supporters more chances to win.
Early buyers can also enter four Early Bird draws worth $2,000 each.
Funds raised through the lottery support the Ontario SPCA’s Community Access to Resources, Education and Support Fund. The program provides grants to SPCAs and humane societies across Ontario for projects such as spay and neuter programs, veterinary care and shelter improvements.
