The Napanee Raiders saw their season come to a disappointing end in the playoffs, but head coach Ben Hagerman and captain Reid Lambert say the team showed strong growth throughout the year.
Coach Hagerman credited Frankford for its play, pointing to its special teams and strong goaltending.
Despite the loss, Hagerman said the season was a success for a young roster that entered the year in a rebuilding phase.
Captain Lambert, playing his final season, said the team stayed united through the tough playoff series.
For Lambert, the biggest highlight was the relationships built with teammates.
He has now finished his final season as a Raider, wearing the C on his chest. We asked for his message to the next Captain
Both Hagerman and Lambert thanked the Napanee community for its support.
Lambert added that thanks to the fans and community support, every night was a fun night at the rink.
The Raiders now look ahead to next season, with a strong core of young players expected to build on this year’s experience.
