The Napanee Raiders made the trip to Frankford Saturday night to play game 1 of their Tod Division Semi Final series. Both teams coming off a sweep of their Quarter Final series.
Mason Goodfellow scored the Raiders first of the night early in the first period to take a 1-0 lead. About 10-minutes later Frankford would score on the Power Play to tie the game. Scoreless in the second period taking us to the third, where a minute into the period, Andrew Carr scored short handed to regain the Raiders lead at 2-1. Frankford quickly retaliated to tie the game once again. Mason Goodfellow then went on to score his second and third of the night 35-seconds apart to earn himself the hat trick, and lead the Raiders to a 4-2 lead! Frankford then went on to score twice more, one short handed, to once again tie the game and send us to overtime. It took almost 15-minutes of overtime before the Frankford Huskies found the back of the net to win 5-4.
Napanee Raiders goalie Jacob Brown made 43 saves on 48 shots on goal.
Then on Sunday, the Raiders hosted the Huskies in game 2 at the Best and Bash Arena. After a scoreless first period, Frankford went up 2-0 in the second period, both times scoring on the Power Play. The Huskies then scored three more on the Power Play early in the third to take a 5-0 lead. Then, with 1:40 left in the period, Carter Slaven got the Raiders on the board in his first game of the playoffs, assisted by Ryan McGee and Trent Williams for a 5-1 Frankford win.
Napanee Raiders goalie Jacob Brown made 30 saves on 35 shots on goal.
The Napanee Raiders are 4-1 in the playoffs. In the other Todd division matchups, Lakefield leads Picton 1-0.
