This Saturday, February 28th, is the Coldest Night of the Year! Again this year, the walk will start and finish at Trinity United Church in Napanee. This annual walk aims to raise funds to help those who are hurt, homeless and hungry.
The excitement is building as they get closer and closer to their $100,000 goal. As the time we’re publishing this, there are 158 wonderful walkers registered and 31 amazing teams who have helped to raise almost $75,000!
myFM spoke with Lynda Carney, who says don’t worry, it’s not to late to take part! Carney says they’ll accept walkers up until sendoff.
Funds can also continue to be donated online for a few weeks after the event.
Money raised locally goes to support the Morningstar Mission and their many services they provide for those in need.
