OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME team) conducted a commercial motor vehicle inspection on Highway 7 in Kaladar after observing a potentially overweight truck. The vehicle and driver were escorted to the detachment and placed out of service.
Multiple charges were laid, including operating a commercial vehicle without a valid CVOR certificate, violating permit weight limits, failing to meet performance standards, and not completing inspection reports accurately. Additional charges involved improperly permitting another person to drive the truck.
The OPP says these enforcement actions are part of its ongoing commitment to ensuring roadway safety and compliance with Ontario’s commercial vehicle regulations.
