Yarker’s Jay Dearborn wrapped up his second Olympic Games, competing in both the two-man and four-man bobsleigh at the Milano-Cortina Winter Olympic Games, making his hometown cheerleaders proud!
In the four-man event, Dearborn piloted Canada’s sled through all four heats, holding 20th place after three runs to make the elimination cut and advance to the final. The Canadian crew posted a total time of 3:41.16, finishing 3.59 seconds back of the gold medal-winning German team led by Johannes Lochner.
Germany also claimed silver with Francesco Friedrich, while Switzerland’s Michael Vogt earned bronze.
The four-man result closes Dearborn’s Olympic competition. Earlier in the week, he placed 23rd in the two-man event.
