Periods of heavy snowfall have led to widespread transportation cancellations across several eastern Ontario weather zones today.
School bus services are cancelled in North Hastings, Centre Hastings, North and Central Lennox & Addington, and North, Central and South Frontenac.
A bus is cancelled if it serves a school or includes a stop within one of the affected zones, though additional cancellations may occur in other areas due to localized weather conditions.
Despite the transportation disruptions, schools across the impacted regions remain open.
Families who choose to drive their children to school are reminded that they will be responsible for picking them up at the end of the school day.
Officials continue to monitor weather conditions and urge residents to travel with caution.
