It was the final match-up of the regular season for the L&A County rivals at the Best and Bash Arena.
The Amherstview Jets took a 1-0 lead in the first period. In the second period Matthew Airhart scored for the Raiders, assisted by Reid Lambert and Spencer Cranley, to tie the game. Not too long after later, scoring his first ever PJHL goal, Tanner Hawkins found the back of the net, assisted by Reid Lambert and Ben Kerr, for a 2-1 Raiders lead. Third period opened with a goal by Ryan Aldridge, assisted by Tanner Hawkins and Ben Kerr for a 3-1 Raiders lead. From there, also scoring his firs PJHL goal, Kaden Byne scored, assisted by Andrew Carr and Jackson Barnes, for a 4-1 lead. Amherstview then managed to score once more to make it a 4-2 game. To end the game, Spencer Cranley found the back of the empty net, Assisted by Kaden Byne and Matthew Airhart, for a 5-2 Raiders win!
Raiders goalie Jacob Brown made 26 saves on 28 shots on goals.
The Napanee Raiders are tied with Frankford for second place in the East Tod Division standings with a 21-11-2-0-1-1 record and 45 points.
The Raiders are back in action Sunday, January 25th, when they play the Thunder in Trent Hills at 4:30pm.
