The Wolfe Islander III is back in Kingston after the vessel had a dry dock inspection in Hamilton.
In a news release, MTO said Wolfe Islander III would relieve the Amherst Islander II and the the Quinte Loyalist once it arrived in Kingston.
While the Amherst Islander II has returned to Stella, MTO has requested that the vessel remain out of service at this time and routine maintenance is required.
The Wolfe Islander IV, which has been out of commission since Dec. 23, remains docked as crews work on repairing mechanical issues that have been plaguing the ferry. MTO says they are working diligently to bring back the Wolfe Islander IV back to service as soon as possible.
Problems on the Islander IV has led to service cancellations resulting in passengers being stranded on Wolfe Island and on the main land.
