A Gananoque driver has been charged with impaired driving following a two-vehicle collision in Loyalist Township on Monday, December 15, 2025. Shortly before 7:00 p.m., Emergency Medical Services reported the crash on Amherst Drive to Lennox and Addington County OPP. Police attended the scene, and after receiving treatment from EMS, 27-year-old Nikolas Dickson was arrested.
Dickson faces multiple charges, including operation while impaired by alcohol, operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over 80, careless driving, and failure to surrender his licence. One person involved in the collision sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
Dickson was released from custody, with his driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded. He is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on January 6, 2026.
