The Prince Edward County OPP has charged one person after an intimate partner violence incident in Picton earlier this week.
Police say officers were called shortly before 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 24 after reports of an argument that had escalated inside a home. When officers arrived, they began an investigation that led to several serious charges.
The accused is facing one count of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, three counts of assault causing bodily harm involving choking or suffocation, and four counts of spousal assault. The individual was held in custody and is awaiting a bail hearing.
