Starting January 1, 2026, recycling collection for non-eligible sources will no longer be picked up curbside with residential recycling. The Town says non-eligible sources include commercial properties and businesses, daycares, places of worship, non-profits or charitable organizations, commercial farms, institutions, seasonal trailer parks and campgrounds, municipal and government buildings, and industrial properties.
These locations will have two options for recycling: arrange private collection or bring materials to the Town’s waste disposal sites. The changes are part of the Blue Box Regulation and aim to streamline recycling services.
The Town encourages non-residential sites to review their options and plan ahead. More details on recycling collection for non-eligible sources are available on the Town’s Blue Box Transition page.
