The City of Kingston is teaming up with three other communities in an effort to lobby VIA Rail for improvements to train service along the Eastern Ontario corridor.
In a news release, the City is partnering with Belleville, Cobourg and Port Hope to gather public feedback on the idea of additional train service in the region.
That would include a late-night train option from Toronto to Kingston.
There is a survey out to gauge feedback from residents on new train service options.

Deadline to participate in the surevey is Nov. 17.
Kingston City Council recently passed a motion from Mayor Bryan Paterson calling on VIA to strengthen regional connections and consider adding more routes.
