A person from Greater Napanee is facing charges after Ontario Provincial Police seized fentanyl, cash and weapons during a drug investigation in Trenton.
The OPP East Region Community Street Crime Unit launched the investigation earlier this summer, focusing on drug trafficking in the Quinte West area. On August 29, 2025, officers arrested two people in Trenton with help from the OPP Emergency Response Team, Canine Unit and Quinte West Detachment.
A search warrant at a Creswell Drive home turned up nearly 11 grams of suspected fentanyl, a bottle of prescription methadone with the label removed, brass knuckles, a replica handgun, over $2,000 in cash and other trafficking materials.
Douglas MacGregor, 38, of Quinte West faces multiple trafficking, weapons, proceeds of crime and probation-related charges and was held for a bail hearing.
Caitlyn Mitchell, 32, of Greater Napanee was charged with possession of a Schedule 1 substance and will appear in Belleville court on October 6.
