Cameron Eadie has been named Napanee’s 2025 Senior of the Year for his outstanding efforts in preserving and sharing local history.
The award was presented during a Regular Session of Council, recognizing Eadie’s volunteer work that has made a big impact on the community.
For the past five years, Eadie has run a popular Facebook page called “Our Napanee. Do You Remember…” where he shares photos, news clippings, and stories from the town’s past. He has collected and stored copies of the Napanee Express and Napanee Beaver newspapers going back to 1862.
Eadie has also photographed and toured local landmarks such as the Old Post Office Tower, Napanee Golf Club, Curling Club, and County Courthouse. He documents notable residents like artist Ruth Brooks and shares modern photos, including aerial views by Geoff Webster.
His work connects newcomers and longtime residents alike, helping keep Napanee’s history alive for future generations.
