The Town of Greater Napanee has released the “Adoption Draft” of its updated Official Plan and is asking residents to share their thoughts.
This draft outlines future land use, growth, and development in the community. Over the past year, the Town has reviewed policies and gathered comments from residents and agencies. Concerns raised include parking rules, transit options, urban boundaries, property designations, and rules for adding extra units to homes not on town services.
The current draft will be sent to regulatory agencies for review by mid-July. Residents are invited to provide feedback throughout the summer. A final version will go to a Statutory Public Meeting this fall, with Town Council aiming to adopt the plan by the end of 2025.
All documents and feedback tools are available through the “Let’s Talk Greater Napanee” online platform.
Residents are encouraged to help shape their town’s future.
