Lennox and Addington County Council took its May meeting on the road, or should I say Ferry, to Amherst Island. The meeting took place at Amherst Island Public School after councillors toured the island with Warden Nathan Townend.
About 20 residents attended. Council heard updates from the Amherst Island Recreation Association and the recently revived Amherst Island Agricultural Society.
Warden Townend thanked the community for welcoming council and making the visit possible.
