Loyalist Township is inviting residents and visitors to explore its local history and culture during the annual Doors Open event on Saturday, June 14, 2025. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., 21 sites across Amherstview, Amherst Island, Bath, Wilton, and Odessa will be open to the public—free of charge.
Participants can tour museums, churches, heritage buildings, art galleries, and more. Activities include guided and self-guided tours, interactive exhibits, and educational talks. Highlights include the Bath Museum & Visitor Centre, the historic Babcock Mill, and St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, originally built in 1794.
Visitors who stop at five or more sites will be entered into a draw to win one of three $100 prizes.
Doors Open is part of a province-wide program that celebrates Ontario’s history and hidden gems.
