Several Hastings–Lennox and Addington residents were honoured with King Charles Coronation Medals for Community Service at a special event on Saturday, May 10.
MPP Ric Bresee hosted the ceremony at the Actinolite Recreation Hall during a Victorian Tea gathering. The medals recognize outstanding community service and dedication.
The recipients were: John Armitage, Suzanne Brant, Henry Hogg, Vicki Keith, Carol Ann Kramp, Greg Maxwell, and Michael Shabinsky. Each has made lasting contributions as coaches, educators, first responders, volunteers, and community builders.
Bresee said choosing recipients was difficult because of the many deserving people in the region. “We all want to serve our communities and make them better. These few medallions are a small token of our gratitude and appreciation for everyone who gives their time and efforts to make the lives of others better.”
