The Raiders had a great comeback in the third period but just fell short.
Tuesday night in Hanover, Erik MacNeil scored first for the Raiders to lead 1-0. Less than a minute later Hanover scored to tie the game. Second period saw three goals by the Barons to take a 4-1 lead. In the third period, Andrew Carr scored late in the period to bring the Raiders within two goals. With 1:19 to go in the period, Michael Patrick scored for the Raiders to bring the score within one goal. The Raiders fought hard but couldn’t score a fourth to tie the game. Hanover wins 4-3 to force game 7.
The Raiders are 19-7 so far in the playoffs. Their Schmalz Cup Semi Final series against Hanover is now tied 3-3. The Hanover Barons are now 19-4 in the playoffs.
Looking to the other semi final series, Essex beat New Hamburg 4-1 to move on to the final.
