Loyalist College PR and Event Management students are partnering with Quinte Conservation to host an outdoor fundraiser on March 15. The event, Nature & Neighbours: Trails, Talks, and Tastes, will raise money for Quinte Conservation’s Outdoor Education Programs.
From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., participants will enjoy a guided hike through North Potter’s Creek Conservation Area, led by Quinte Conservation staff. Experts will share tips on hiking safety, tick and insect bite prevention, and identifying hazardous plants. Hikers will also learn about the area’s unique environmental features.
After the hike, guests can gather for cedar leaf tea and roasted apples. Organizers say the event is ideal for nature lovers, beginners, and those looking to meet fellow outdoor enthusiasts.
Tickets are $5, and registration is required. More details and the sign-up link are available at quinteconservation.ca/events.
