The Lions Club of Odessa and District, alongside the Canadian Forces School of Communications and Electronics, will host the annual Remembrance Day Service at the Wilton Cenotaph in Wilton, Ontario, on Monday, November 11, 2024. The service, which honours those who sacrificed for freedom, draws around 300 attendees, including Military personnel, Veterans, school children, government officials, and first responders.
Loyalist Township has approved a temporary road closure in Wilton from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to accommodate the event. The service begins at 10:30 a.m., with a vintage airplane fly-by from the Kingston Ultralight Flying Club scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
After the ceremony, attendees are invited for refreshments and fellowship at the Odessa Agricultural Society Palace on Main Street.
