Today, September 30th, is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte Chief R. Donald Maracle shared with us more about this day.
Maracle told us that children in residential schools suffered physical, metal, spiritual, sexual and cultural abuses.
When asked what reconciliation means to him, he shared that “we don’t suffer disadvantage in our communities.”
