The Tyendinaga Township Public Library is celebrating a significant milestone; their 50th anniversary!
The library first opened in 1974 providing services to the community based out of The Shannonville School.
myFM spoke with CEO Kristin Farrell, who told us more about the library’s history.
A celebration has been scheduled for June 2nd from 1-3pm at the Tyendinaga Township Recreation Complex. Farrell told us how they’ll be marking the occasion.
When asked what the next 50 years look like, Farrell says that’s a hard question but easy to answer.
For more information about this event and what’s happening at the library, you can visit their website or find them on Facebook.
