Renovations to the exterior of Greater Napanee’s historic town hall began today.
During their meeting April 30th, Town Council voted to award the contact to The Brick Painters Ltd.
The work will consist of removing loose paint from brick and wooden surfaces, except for areas like facia under eaves, eaves troughs, and downspouts, Remove and reinstall downspouts over brickwork for repainting, Repair any damaged masonry or woodwork, with extra charges for replacing rotten wood, Prime all surfaces before repainting, and Use The Brick Painters faux finish for masonry and approved white color for wooden surfaces like windows, soffits, columns, gables, doors, and door frames.
Road closures in Market Square will be required during the project to ensure the safety of workers and general public. We’ll let you know when those will be scheduled.
