The partnership between the Town of Greater Napanee and Deseronto Transit to offer a fixed route within the town has now been operational for a few weeks and so far, so good!
Annie Manion, Manager of Community Economic Development, provided an update to town council during last night’s meeting.
When asked by council, Manion reported that so far, all feedback received has been positive.
Councillor Michael Schenk asked about the financial obligations from the county, who provided the town with a grant of $186,000 that is to be used by March 31st, 2025. Manion let council know they’re working on an agreement for what the partnership looks like long term. Mayor Terry Richarson reminded council that these funds were a grant to help get something up and running.
