Soon a local artists work will be available on an LCBO shelf near you.
Kingston Daft Brewing has partnered with Lisa Ray Koenig of Groovy Cats Art to use her painting of “Freda Flamingo” on the new label for their Pilsner, Cool Cool Cool!
myFM spoke with Koenig, who is still in shock. She reached out to Draft Brewing a few months ago as their mascot is a flamingo.
Adam Rondeau, owner and CEO of Daft Brewing, told us how they’re very art-forward. They’ve filled their space with art and have worked with local artists in the past. After seeing Koenigs painting one of the first things to pop into his mind was, “Wow! This needs to go on a can!”
Koenig told us what this collaboration means to her.
This Dry Hopped Pilsner is now available on draft, and in cans at the brewery located 768 Princess Street, Kingston. It’s set to be available in the LCBO in the near future.
