Big plans are in the works for the Tyendinaga Township Public Library thanks to a grant from The Commonwell Mutual Insurance Group’s Learning Engagement & Accelerator Fund (L.E.A.F.).
$48,000 is on the way to make the library’s physical and online presence more accessible to members of the communities.
myFM spoke with Kristin Farrell, CEO and Head Librarian, to chat about how they’re going to use this money.
First things first is their website.
The next part will be their library catalogue.
The updated catalogue would mean you’d be able to reserve books from home and see what other libraries in the province offer as part of their internal province program.
Funds will also go toward accessibility pieces in the library that they need to continue to advance.
