Police across the Quinte Region, including the L&A OPP, teamed up for another “Safe on Seven” campaign along Highway 7 last week.
They targeted traffic violations, focusing on issues like speeding, unfit vehicles, and Commercial Motor Vehicles.
Officers prioritized “The Big 4” causes of collisions: impaired driving, distracted driving, aggressive driving, and lack of occupant restraint.
The campaign resulted in 1 case of stunt driving at 157km/h in an 80 zone, 37 speeding cases, 8 other traffic violations, and 1 Tobacco Tax Act violation.
The OPP continues its commitment to road safety and encourages collective efforts to ensure safer roadways in Canada.
