The Newburgh-Camden Lions Club has once again shown their generosity by donating $6,500 to The Food Sharing Project, supporting nutritious school food access. This marks their second donation this year!
“Along with a donation of $6000 back in April, these two donations will support a year of fresh, healthy food being provided to Centreville and Newburgh Public Schools,” says Andy Mills, Executive Director of The Food Sharing Project.
These donations ensure that Centreville and Newburgh Public Schools will have a year’s supply of fresh, healthy food.
The Food Sharing Project provides schools with nutritious food for in-school meals and snacks across Kingston, Frontenac, and Lennox & Addington.
Vic Smith, Past-President of the Newburgh-Camden Lions Club, stresses the importance of providing young people with the tools they need for success, and healthy food is a fundamental requirement for a successful school day and beyond.
