The Correctional Service of Canada has reported the deaths of two inmates in their custody.
Douglas Lagossy passed away at Millhaven institution on September 13th of apparent natural causes. Lagossy had been serving an indeterminate sentence, which began on March 11, 1981, for Assault and Sexual Assault with a Weapon.
Then Jeremy Parsons passed away on September 14th at Collins Bay Institution. The 32-year-old had been serving a sentence of 2 years, 7 months, and 17 days for firearms related charges that began January 26th of this year.
CSC, as they do in all cases, have notified police and the coroner. The inmate’s next of kin have also been notified.
